Teddy Afro to perform in Addis for the Ethiopian New Year

Teddy Afro is set to take center stage at the Ghion Hotel on Ethiopian New Year’s Eve. The singer will thrill his fans with a full concert in support of his most recent album, Tikur Sew. The concert which is expected to have more than 15,000 people in attendance promises an amazing performance from the singer with a band of the highest caliber and a state-of-the-art stage show.  This is Teddy Afro’s first ever concert in Addis since the release of his last album. Tickets for the event will go on sale starting August 20, 2012. The concert which is anticipated to be a sold out event is expected to be broadcast live for a few minutes on EBS after an agreement with the television station has been settled.  Teddy Afro will fly back to Addis Ababa for his upcoming concert, after having a highly successful concert in London, on August 4, 2012, a gig organized in relation with the Olympics taking place in the city. An official press conference will be given by the music mogul and Adika Communication and Events management team prior to the concert. The two parties state that their solid relationship in working together for future endeavors is still intact.

A singer associated with the pulse of Ethiopian music, Teddy Afro has four albums to his credit and has performed in concerts with huge audiences around the world. The singer’s latest album “Tikur Sew”, dropped in the Ethiopian market, via Adika Communication and Events, brings forth a sound as reminiscent as the spirit of the past and as daring as the possibilities of the future. Through this album, which continues to be successful, Teddy Afro has brought to life a captivating story that has been told for many years.
