On February 15, 2013 the highly-acclaimed and legendary Ethiopian Musician, Teddy Afro accepted an Commendation Award from the City of San Jose on behalf of the Ethiopian and Eritrean Friendship forum EEFF. The award acknowledged EEFF’s dedication to peace and reconciliation.
Teddy Afro was honored for his role in promoting peace and reconciliation. Speakers at the award ceremony included; Teddy Afro, Eritrean and Ethiopian EEFF members, religious leaders from the Eritrean and Ethiopian Orthodox church and community representatives. All echoed the value of peace and reconciliation between Eritreans and Ethiopians. Teddy Afro’s name is an iconic symbol behind this message.
